I come here often because it's close to my workplace. They have delicious Mexican good. I always try to get a pambazo because I'm never able to find them anywhere else.
They have amazing enchiladas, burritos, and more! -

Though I enjoyed my 3 taco lunch here, there are several faults that rate this eatery barely 3 stars.
One chicken taco, one pork taco, one lamb taco. Chicken and carnitas pork cost $2.75. Lamb taco has twice the amount of meat (about 6 ounces!) which bumps the price up to a whopping $3.50.
All tasty. Cook ain't shy with the spices. The meats are all spiced with moderate amounts of hot chile that gives a distinct bite and mild burn. But fault #1: too much salt in all three tacos. Not punishingly salty just 20% too much. Fault #2: the specialty of the house, Hildago regional style lamb, is overcooked and too chewy. Delicious flavor but not moist & succulent.
The small serve yourself salsa bar has 10 selections. I tried 8. Again the flavors are quite bold & spicy. My favorite was the tomatillo. Bright and fresh, but damn again too much salt.
Free basket of chips are fresh. Generous portion. Surprisingly these are not too salty. Go figure.
Horchata (rice drink) is a little too sweet and a bit watery. But a good beverage to tame the chile burn on the tongue.
Fault #5: The damn noise! The ceiling mounted speakers are loudly blaring a local radio station. Then there's a TV on the back wall also blaring. Lucky I was eating solo, a conversation would have been a challenge.
The nice server was smiling, helpful and sincere. She likes people. She is the reason for 3 stars rating rather than 2.
Total damage $15 with generous tip.
Will I make an effort to return? Probably not.
If you have never been, do I recommend that you eat here? No. -

This is definitely one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants in Santa Rosa! Very unsuspecting family run business that is all about cleanliness and excellence in the quality of their food. Not to mention the place is spotless! The owner Oscar is a standup guy who loves what he does... He dedicates all of his time to his family and his work! Hands-down the best burritos in town

So we were driving home and stopped in Santa Rosa for some food. Went on yelp to find something close by with good reviews. The chips and selection of salsa were very good. My husband ordered the lamb tacos and he said it was very good. I ordered a wet burrito with carnitas it's was delicious sour cream and slices of avocado on the top a perfect addition. We will stop again when in town.

It's a bummer when you want a place to work out but it doesn't? You know that sad tune of tossing a penny down the well...? This place just didnt workout as soon as the chips hit the table.
Its unfortunate because I've had this business bookmarked on Yelp for a while now due to the good reviews.
After reading the recent reviews, it looks like a new owner has taken over and that's when this has turned around.
Lemme just point out that our server was super sweet and on point. They earned a star for that.
However, the food was not good at all!
The chips taste like they were 3 days stale.
Maybe it's the white corn? Yellow corn seems to make better chips. I can assure you they were not made that day and the fact they lacked salt made them bland with a stale kick.
Maybe they were 3 days old ?
I ended up ordering Nachos and should of known better that they would be using the same stale chips. Whelp..... they did.
The nachos looked visually very delightful. Unfortunately the stale chips and the pastor ruined it for me.
The pastor had so many chunks of fat. Yes, its pork. Pork is fatty but I spent more time picking out chunk after chunk of white gristle than eating my meal. It just made me think of the lowest grade pork you can buy on the market.
Bookmark has been removed and I will stick to Las Palmas and the other taco trucks on Sebastopol rd.
